New Info. for the 2026 Season

Official Signup forms, results are all available on this site.
The Fee to play in our events this year are now $95.00 for full active members and $105.00 for guests and members from the waitlist. Fees include Golf, use of a cart, and either lunch or dinner.
We have a few less winners but bigger prizes. Overall Gross and Flight winners will now get 3 credits. Net winners still win one credit. Credits are worth 9 dollars each.
TEE's PLAYED... If your handicap and age are 80 or lower, you will now play the regular "mens" tees at our events. If your age and HC are 81-100 you will play the senior tees. and if over 100 you will play the forward tees. You can still play any tees you prefer. Let the tournament director know on event day !!
GHIN FAQ's
Do the scores gets posted?
YES. The Tournment director will post all scores the night of the event.
Do I need a GHIN to join Maine Seniors?
YES. You must have a Maine Based GHIN to join and it must held at a Maine St. Golf club.
Do I need a GHIN to play in events.
NO. You can play yet you can not win any prizes.
Signing up for events.
The deadine to sign up is 10 days prior to all events. No exceptions!
Do I need to send separate checks and forms for each event?
YES. I need one check and form PER event. You can not send one check for multiple tournaments.
Can I use email to send forms?
NO. I need a form and a check by the deadline.
What if I am late in sending in a form and check?
Email Dave at: maineseniors1932@gmail.com.. He may be able to help. You can always go to our Golf Genius link on this site and see if any groups are still looking for a player.
Can I use Venmo or paypal?
NO. I need a check and a form by the deadline.
Can I sign up as a single? What if I don't have a full foursome?
YES. You can sign up as a single,twosome threeome or Foursome. Send in a check for JUST the members who have signed up. DO not send a check in for four players if you do not have four playing. IF you get a another player they an pay at the event.
Can a wait listed player play in ALL events?
Waitlisted player can play in all events EXCEPT the Championship event held at the Portland Country Club.
Cancellation FAQ's
What is the cancellation Policy?
To get a refund the Tournament Director MUST be notified 5 days Prior to an event. If it is within 5 days you will NOT get refunded. (NO EXCEPTIONS)
What happens if the event is cancelled?
If the clubs cancel an event the TD will email you about the status of your check. He can use it for a future event if you are not already signed up, or simply SHRED it. I do not deposit the checks until the day after the events.
What happens if a member in my groups cancels within 5 days?
It is up to you to find a replacement. You can email the tournament director to see if he has anyone looking to fill the spot, but there is no guarantee!
If I cancel and my group finds a replacement, can I use that money for a future event?
Depends: If the Captain paid for the full group then it is between you and the team Captain to resolve the issue. If you paid as a single then I MAY be able to use it for a future event.
Priority to play in the events
Who has priority to play to play in the events if oversubscribed?
A group with four full active members from our host clubs take priority over groups with an AT-Large member or a group with a guest.
Can a wailtisted player play in the Championship at The Portland Country Club?
NO.
Can I bring a guest?
Guests can play only once a year in the events EXCEPT at Portland CC.
Who can join the Maine Seniors Golf Association?
Membership is open to golfers aged 55 and older who are in good standing with one of our "Hosts" club in Maine. This eligibility ensures a welcoming environment for senior players statewide.
Host Clubs include: Portland CC, Falmouth CC. Purpoodock CC, York Golf and Tennis Club, Augusta CC, Martindale CC, and Webhannet CC.
Currently we are not accepting members from other clubs at this time.
Playing your Home Course.
You have the option of playing on tournament day for the full usual fee: or playing the week prior at a cost of 25 dollars per player. The week prior starts on Sunday and runs thru Sunday the day before our event. If yu choose to play the week PRIOR, It is up to you to:
A: Make you own tee time.
B: Pay your clubs regular fee for a cart.
C; Play the regular tees based on age and handicap.
D; KEEP hole by hole scores.
E: Make sure the tournament director gets the money and hole by hole scores prior to, or on event day.
F:. Notify the TD prior to your round. You only get once chance to enter a score. Let the TD know if you posted the score as well.
G; If you bring a guest they will pay the usual guest fees and cart fee at your club.
How do I collect my "Closest to the Pins" winnings?
The Closest to the Pins contests are run thru the individual clubs.
If you win a Pins contest you will receive an email the night of the event with the amount of money you won.
The winnings are to be spent in the club Pro shop where you won it.
You have until the end of the year to collect your winnings.
If you are unable to get back to the club you won it at, contact Dave as he may be able to help.

How can I check to see if I am signed up for an event?
Go to our Golf Genius link on ths site. Find the tournament you are interested in.
The TD updates the Golf Genus site everyday during the golf season. If your name is not listed then your form and check have not been received !!
The TD set the TEE sheets with starting holes or tee times 7 days PRIOR to the event.
Please do not email until you have checked the Golf Genius website.
AND NO. You can not send an emil as a sign up. I must have the form and a check 10 days prior to an event.
